When it breaks (which it did in about 5 minutes of play) the toy's cuteness fades really quickly. They are small and the legs are a little flimsy. The legs do move when the crabs "walk" which is cute. Our problem was the little mechanical track that moves the crab is so small that it doesn't move well on the tile floor. It kept getting stuck in the cracks and stopping. I think if you had the playsets or a smooth surface it might work much better. It does bounce off of the walls when it hits them. The little friend that hides in their shells is a small piece of molded plastic about 1/2 inch long. The crabs are about 3-4 inches long. They only held her attention for 10 minutes and she was done with it. She was disappointed in the size. We found it at toys r us. Before we reached the house the arm was broken. We went back that same day to exchange it. Later that night the arm was off again. This is a fun toy but not worth the money she paid. It's not very durable. I could have purchased 3 HEX BUGS. I'm very disappointed with the workmanship of this toy.
